This program has been developed to help children into the habit of reflective thinking and spiritual value identification by receiving a prompt or question each week that they will then pose to themselves after a parent or teacher has helped them into a more relaxed and meditative state. This can be done at bedtime when a child is naturally receptive to relaxing or within a small group or family setting with an adult facilitator to help them do it.
The “Source and Center” button under each “Angels of Progress” category beginning a new cycle will provide a simple centering exercise that can be utilized weekly through the remainder of that cycle to help the child in their centering and relaxation process. Once they relax, give them the weekly prompt and a little time to close their eyes and reflect on it. It is important that the feeling is one of asking themselves the question and finding an answer that’s more from the heart than just from their busy minds.
Afterwards they can share their answers with those participating in the exercise with them. To gain consistent practice in connecting with themselves and the living Spirit residing in their hearts is the whole point. If possible, try to find a set time each week to do it.
Feel free to use any sacred name for “Spirit” that you wish. All creeds and pathways are respected in this program. The prompts in the first cycle, “Listening”, will contain further information about the structure and flow that will pertain to all the remaining cycles in the program.
